Landlords and Tenants
Recently we have had to deal with several properties with covenants violations where the home was not owner occupied. Owners are responsible for the property they own within our community, whether they live there or not. The Association may take action to bring properties into compliance with community guidelines, including: fines, liens, and legal action including foreclosure.
All owners leasing property need to provide the Association with a mailing address to receive official correspondence. Owners remain responsible for any covenants or architectural violations and are encouraged to provide copies of relevant documents to tenants. They are also available on the community website. Tenants should contact their landlords regarding any correspondence received from the Association. Most leases hold the tenant responsible for any financial burden caused by the tenant not properly maintaining their residence.
