The community has been battling a leak around one of the light fixtures at the community pool. We are losing a significant amount of water each day and paying for the auto-fill to keep it full. Eventually, the leak will cause damage to the pool and patio area. To fix the leak, the pool needs to be drained. We are taking this opportunity to resurface the entire pool, which was due to be done this year or early next anyway.
We hired Vermana Pool Contractors to do the job for us. Total cost will be just over $50,000. We have sufficiently planned and funded our reserves to cover the complete cost of this repair/resurfacing. In fact, we have been saving as a community since the pool was built.
What does this mean for you? The pool will be closed and gates locked beginning in the next couple weeks and will be closed for approximately one month. The work area inside the fence will be hazardous. Please remain clear of the area while the work is being completed for your safety. For the curious, this same company recently resurfaced the pool at Lakes of Windermere.
